Hello I saw awhile ago about scubapro oring sizes vs standard orings, does anyone know where I can find more standardized parts instead of the maintenance kits ( for example, the washers, nylon or plastic)?

What exactly are you looking for? Seats can be purchased through the trident catalog. Places like mcmaster-carr sell all sorts of plastic washers and shims.

Like the hp seats? And I was mainly lookin for a size relation like orings would be sp 01-050-xxx is a -017. Just trying to figur out what sizes so I can buy the piece at, say ace hardware for .50cents vs scuba shop for 5$

Best to have answers to these and other questions before you disassemble your reg. Really important to have those answers before you service and assemble. The good news is you are extremely unlikely to hurt yourself. But you seem to have a good start on damaging or destroying a regulator.

Ace is not the place for o-rings: Welcome to the AOP Technologies, aerospace, pneumatics, o-rings

lol i serviced it fine! i found the oring correlation on the board. i have a 180 pc oring kit from orings online, pretty sure they are viton, 75 duro. i just serviced my mk15 and it works like a charm now. i was mainly wondering on the nylon washers and rubber gromits.

Harlow addresses those kinds of questions in his book.

Ok I have been looking around and it seems that his book is the best? I saw it was $50. Do you know where I could find it cheaper, lol I am working on a college budget.

Having lived the "college life", this is always one of the most foolish statements I have experienced. Give up a weekend or two of other activities - that alone gets you the book for a lifetime of knowledge... sorry, not your best fan in regard to this...

lol sorry but by college budget I meant paying rent food and classes, while going to school fulltime. If the book is as good as you all say it is worth the invest ment, from previous exprience I have bought some reference matirials that just weren't worth it.

But as i said if the book is worthing i will buy it now.
