Anyone know of any shore dives off Pinellas County where good spearfishing can be found?

haha. man, i dunno. i did a couple ride-a-longs with the FWC and we went to a spot on the bay by albert whitted airport. not legal, of course, but apparently people aren't shy about going there. As for beach shore dive's I've never heard of a single one.

Pardon the ignorance, but why would that not be a legal spot near the airport?

Actually, you bring up a great point. I thought it was really close to a swimming beach but after looking on a map I think its a bit farther than 100yds and I'm also not sure if its even a swimming beach (it is right off of a park). I think we were checking that spot out because people spear snook there on a regular basis. I retract my statement.

Ah yes, snook is a big no no. I was curious because the airport is to the south of the pier, and the swimming beach is on the north side of the pier, near the shore.

Well, actually I was talking about the beach on lassings park, just south of the pier, airport, and channel. You can actually see the spot I'm talking about from google earth. It's shaped like a letter T. The FWC guy I rode with always checks that spot.
