Nice finds Lee. Thanks for sharing. How was the current and the viz? It looks like a peaceful area.

Viz was about 1.5-2 feet with a nice light but it definitely was black river diving, lol turn your light off and there was no viz at all. The current was running fast and that was what ended our second dive quick. Shoot, I had my fins against a branch to help me stay still along with my spike but my feet was way above my head, almost like I was doing a hand stand, lol

My wife and I want to go to the Cooper River this summer. We are both teachers and cover a lot of material dealing with flora and fauna that existed around this area. My wife is not a diver, which puts me in a pickle. Is there anyone who would be interested in showing a Yankee where to go, and possibly be his dive buddy? We would like to use the stuff I find in the classroom. Thanks in advance!

Motored down the Edisto River yesterday morning. Made some new friends. Shared some stories. Enjoyed the beautiful backwoods. The guys found a good many fossils and some petrified wood at a virgin site just south of Long Creek landing.

Many more photos and text to follow later.

Here is the tooth cleaned up.

Hello longshotgene ... We have river dive charter boats with licensed captains, that will take you where you need to go and they will also instruct you on how to do the dive. They will partner you up if you want a partner. Will be happy to send over the website links. Just let me know.
