Hi Gang
For those still looking for airfare which I know has been going up.
Heres a few tips

Tues-Thurs is the best days to find airfare from what I am seeing. Prices are almost always higher on the weekend.

Also don't forget to check smaller carriers like Spirit Airlines
Spirit Airlines - cheap tickets, cheap flights, discount airfare, cheap hotels, cheap car rentals, cheap travel
While they don't fly direct to Cozumel they do offer great rates to Cancun. It may be worth the effort doing the bag drag.

If anyone else has anything to share on this issue please share.

United/Continental Airlines dropped their prices last friday at midnight and again Saturday morning. I bought mine Friday night at midnight and saved $250, and could have saved another $60 if I would have waited until Saturday morning. The tickets went back to the original(higher) price on Sunday.
If you are flying with them, check both of their websites because the Continental website was $110 less for the exact same flights!!
I called them last week to ask a question about a trip I am making to Aruba for thanksgiving and the lady on the phone said that the pricing varies depending on which website you use to book tickets, united.com or continental.com.

Scubaboard wouldn't let me put the www's before the website addresses because I haven't made enough posts.

I have never had any luck getting airfare on Friday or Saturday, but from what you are saying maybe I should be looking then also.

The same thing happened on Continental.com today that happened last weekend. Airfare is about $230 less than it was yesterday. If the patterns hold, then it will be back to regular price by tomorrow.
