Boat rental place in Pensacola?

Is there a place to rent a boat that could handle 8 people diving from it? We have 8 people looking to dive and since going to the Oriskany usually costs $150/person we were thinking $1200/day could probably get us our on boat.

You will have to have a big boat to accommodate 8 Divers with 2 tanks each,
I think it is well worth they money to let someone else do the work.
I bet you could contact the H2O Below (direct) and they may discount that many divers.

Here is just a thought. 150 buys you a dive master to help you unload and load back-up. A care free ride out to the site. Safety equipment with trained individuals onboard to help injured divers if needed. Lunch on most boats. No clean-up of the boat when you get back.

Or you could pay that $1200 and then have to do all of that yourself. I have heard of a boat club that you can join, but it is monthy fees. During this time of year I would think that the boat captains would want to work with you a little since there really isn't any business in the winter time.

Its definitely worth the money but H2O Below wont let us spear

We all are at least trained in CPR/AED/Rescue but aren't trained to be dive masters/boat captains. But we don't mind putting in a little bit of work to have the freedom to drop on a site and then decide to pull and go somewhere else and spend the whole day out on the water, rather than being stuck at 1 site.

Our biggest issue has been finding a boat large enough that will also allow spearfishing

Some boats don't do mixed spearfishing/diving trips. I am not sure if you book the H2O Below as an entire spearfishing trip if they will allow it or not. I believe captains have to have a special charter license to allow spearfishing on their boats, not sure if the H2O has this license.

H2O Told us they don't have the proper commercial fishing license to allow spearfishing

Scuba Shack is the only dive shop in Pensacola I still have never been to! I'll give them a call and see what they say

I know they at least used to allow spearfishing.
