Looking for some advice as I'm looking into buying a twinset... I currently dive a Halcyon eclipse with a single 15l cylinder + aluminium stage, wondering if I can get away with the same wing with manifolded 10s?? I don't use a weight belt even with a single so probably wouldn't need much lift but the wing I have is only a 30lb... any opinions much appreciated!

whether you can use a wing with doubles or singles is not just related to lift. Lay an evolve on top of an eclipse and you'll see what i mean. the tank contact area is much wider on a doubles wing. This is also why a doubles wing does not work well on a single tank, that added area allows it to taco around the tank, which traps gas and makes it much harder to vent...

The double tanks will not allow the wing to fully inflate would be my concern, so your 30lb wing would actually be even less.

if you want a streamlined wing, I'd recommend the Halcyon Evolve 40 (i don't know the characteristics of the tanks you are going to Al or Steel, and don't know what exposure suit you wear)

As LauraJ says, the Eclipse is not suitable for doubles diving.

If you are putting together a doubles rig, then you obviously want to maximise your safety and endurance in the water. It would not make sense to hamstring that concept, by improvising with a core component that is not designed for the task.

If you are happy with the Halcyon brand...and enjoy the characteristics of the Eclipse... then your obvious choice is to get a 40lb Evolve for your doubles configuration.

Nope, will not work. Use the right equipment for the appropriate dive. Both 40lb evolve or explorer wings should be more than enough for 10l twins. I prefer the evolve (dougnut shape) wings.

You mean Halcyon Evolve or Pioneer double wings. The Eclipse is single tank only, in 30lb or 40lb.

Nope, explorer. I corrected my post. I believe pioneer is end of life?!??
