Looking at purchasing a harnass and back plate Dive Rite - I have looked at scuba toys and prime scuba I already have my wing Any advice or experience working with these online stores or other

Take a very close look at Deep Sea Supply.

Tobin, the owner and guru, makes great gear that is very high quality and well-atuned to conditions in California.

Personally, I LOVE the fact that I can add 8 pounds of steel to my backplate to help trim out all the weight I need for NorCal exposure suits.

A SS BP is an SS BP. I like DiveRite and SCUBAToys. But whichever has the best quality to cost? ST offers 10% off, free shipping, and other $10/$50 post discounts.

Op said he already has a wing. Deep sea supply's rig works best as a system, at least that's what Tobin pm'd me one time when I asked him if my wing would work with one of his plates. So your question was has anyone used those two online vendors; yes, Scubatoys is great. You can't go wrong ordering anything from that co. Call them and tell them what kind of wing you have and they will have a bp for you very quickly, might even have a mint in the package when it arrives.

DSS works just fine with Oxycheq. Others, too, I'm pretty sure.

OP didn't say, one way or the other (at least in this thread), whether he already had a wing.

Are you sure he didn't say he had a wing?

I used to say the same thing, and that's simply not true anymore. DSS and Halcyon stand out because of their quality and innovation. For those of you trying to get some weight OFF, Tobin's Kydex backplate is wonderful and my favorite.

+1 on DSS! :thumb:

Tobin stands behind his gear and is super in customer service!

If you're looking for DiveRite I'd check with Wayne or Jason at DiveSeekers.com. PM Wayne here on SB or call them directly (888-728-2247) and tell him what you're looking for.

Tell him I sent you - they'll treat you right.
