This was our 3rd dive of the day. What a blast we had together thanks to Robert and Lake Travis Scuba dive boat operation. Charley, James, Kerri and myself included.

Most everyone did a 4th dive but me. James and Charley to bring up 3 more anchors, and Kerri to rescue family boats stuck anchor, and Robert to video shaker one more time.

What a great day we had enjoy the little video clip from the houseboat at wreck alley.

Shawn & Robert and gang,

I enjoyed both the video's..... :)

The land video gives a great 'overview' for those yet to make it down of late--cool!

The artificial reef/boat video was cool.....been a while since I was in there, so brought back memories.

Nice job.

These videos really describe the current Lake diving conditions in Lake Travis. What a great time of year to be able to use the Lake and still have about 20 foot visiblity underwater below the thermocline at 50 feet. Yes when the water gets a little cold it opens up the viz and to be able to see the Pecan tree for about 40 feet vertical viz is an outstanding thing for Lake Travis.

I hope everyone gets a chance to experience this good visibility we are experiencing this last weekend that should continue for a little while longer.

I will stay posted to Scubaboard to stay current on Lake conditions.

Here is a video of Jack R. exploring the Pecan trees at Wreck Alley.

As Shawn stated, visibility is still really good, especially for July. Space is available for diving from Giant Stride this weekend, so come out and do some treasure hunting at Starnes or explore the trees at Wreck Alley.

Sunset charter Trip Report July 9, 2010 - Jack, Grytch, Dean and Mike came out to dive at Cypress Creek Wall for a Friday Sunset charter and the weather held out nicely. Picked up the group at Mansfield Dam boat dock near the ramp, easy load and off we went.

You can see in the photos it was another treasure hunt of a dive. This dive yielded watches, a pearl earring (still have to confirm if it is real or not), a penny, many glasses including genuine Ray Ban Aviators, and one of the most interesting finds of any dive yet - a cigarette painted marijuana one-hitter. Couldn't smell anything funny in it because it was in the lake, but it didn't look like it had been there long.

Come out for a dive before all the good bounty is picked through! Space is available on the Sunday charters. Send a reservation request from Welcome to Lake Travis Scuba.
