Can anybody give me an update on what they are saying about potential conditions at St. Andrews jetties this weekend. I will be approaching them by boat and wondered if they have booms out, etc. Also, have there been any reports of any oil products there yet?

How about Destin? My wife has a friend that just moved there and she claims they are telling people not to go into the water. I have not heard anything close to that myself.

There have been no warnings against swimming in Okaloosa County beaches...that includes Destin. They have only said that if you spot an oil slick...do NOT swim in it. Not sure who really needed to be told that. I just returned from Destin. There are no booms deployed. They have booms staged on the shore and ready to go. There are booms along Norriego Point back toward the East Jetty...but they are stretched along the shore...not in the pass itself.

You should have no problems with diving the jetties in Panama City this weekend. I am not sure about approaching the jetty by boat...but since Destin is not closed, I can't imagine anything in Panama City being blocked by booms.

No oil. Yet at least Glen - come see us.

East wind for the rest of the week should help keep things away.

I would not wish this on any direction. Very depressing.

Would love to come dive with you Rod...heading to the Galapagos Islands soon. I hope to be back on your boat this summer. Hang in there!
