Dove with Scuba Shack and the Wetdream Saturday moring. Perfect weather and the seas were doing their best to finally give us a good weekend.

We left the dock with 16 hearty divers and on the two hour boat ride we had four go bad and after the first dive two more decided to feed the fish. There was more Bonine and Triptone being given out than at a doctor's office.

The wreck was great. When we got there we were the first boat there and vis was good at the top of the wreck and when I laid on the flight deck at 147 feet the vis was even better. Probably close to a 100 foot vis. and absolutely no current.

It was as if mother nature decided to give us a couple of great dives before the oil moves in.

Saw the H2O pull up as I was finishing my deco and getting back on board from my first dive. They had one onboard as well that was laying in his wetsuit on the bow and had the dry heaves. I certainly felt for him.

We had four just about passed out on the front of the boat with two more inside feeling death would have been a welcome relief.

On the second dive I took a diver down who although had a hundred dives at different lakes and springs this was his first ocean dives. He saw big schools of spade fish and amberjack. I showed him a lot of the small things that really make a great dive. This was a real treat.

After the second dive the crew passed out homemade ice cream and brownies and even some of the sick tried a little.

Denise hope you and your group had as good a dives as we did.

Oh ****!! I am lamenting! My son came home from Auburn Thursday night with a swollen foot that he could barely walk on. We took off to the Doc on Friday but he could not figure out what was causing it except a foreign article causing an infection that he could not find. He sent him home with bandages, antiobiotics and a..."I don't really think you should try to dive weekend" :(
Damn what a weekend!! My baby leaves on Monday to go to Dade City Florida to work an internship for the summer which is part of this requirement to graudate. Such sad timing but I love my baby and the Oriskany takes second place to spending Mother's Day with my youngest son before he travels 8 hours away to spend the summer working an internship toward his college graduation.

Jim, I was on the H2O beside you Saturday morning. I am not good at estimating visibility so glad to hear you thought it was about 100 feet. It was certainly the best viz. I have had on the Oriskany. We had three divers that go pretty sick. I saw some folks up on front of the Wetdream...didnt know if they were sick or just getting some sun.

We also had two great dives and I agree that it was a great day to be on the "O".

Denise - what happened to ya'll this weekend? Barry managed to bring them all back alive

Hi Girl!! I've missed seeing you around. I would love to go back and let Barry DM for me. Never pass up an opportunity to allow a man to wait on you hand and foot. ;)
My whole family came in for Mother's Day for the whole weekend so I was landlocked. They didn't get to come home for Easter so it meant alot to me for us to all be together.
The next time I do the "O" it will be with at least one 50% deco bottle. Of course I would have to visit the flight deck. :)

I've been missing but now I'm back. I've got to learn to use Scubaboard again. Barry gives me a hard time that I don't check in
