I'm using a brownie kayak system for spring diving but I want to take it to the keys this year for lobster season but I cant seem to find anything on the market that I can use to float my tank. Does anyone know of anything available? I've used a SNUBA outfit but you cant buy one from the company.

Thanks
Butch James

try inflating a wheel borrow inner tube around the tank... that's what I've done in the past... works pretty good.. and you can make it float valve up or valve down by where you put the tube on the tank. use 2 if you want it to float flat on the surface.

good luck

Don't know if this will serve your purpose, but some friends of mine in MX used snorkeling vests to float spare Al80s.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but in line with this, has anyone tried to float a tank (a single /or doubles) off the back of a jet ski? I'm wondering how I might do this, or if it's feasible using something cheap and simple.

an extra BC??--orally inflated??...

I haven't done anything like what you describe, but if all you want to do is float a tank, soft lifeguard rescue tubes are EXTREMELY buoyant, can be bent into rings or "horseshoes", and have clips that help in shaping and attaching them. They aren't expensive and when not being used for floating tanks can be used for other purposes.

Theres a guy in south florida that sella device called a "Tote and Float". Has wheels on it and looks real nice. Has anyone ever seen or used one?
