Three trips, never the victim of crime in Bonaire, although I was held hostage by American Airlines in San Juan when trying to get to Bonaire. Does that count?

I had my blood stolen by locals on Bonaire. They didn't even bother to knock me out with Scop. Just buzzed right up next to me, stuck me with tiny needles, and sucked me dry.

You need to add another option to the poll.

I added it to the list below

Ever personally been a victim of crime on Bonaire?
  • 1-5 visits - Never been a victim of crime on Bonaire
  • 1-5 visits - I was a victim of crime on Bonaire once
  • 1-5 visits - I was a victim of crime on Bonaire multiple times
  • More than 5 visits - Never been a victim of crime on Bonaire
  • More than 5 visits - I was a victim of crime on Bonaire once
  • More than 5 visits - I was a victim of crime on Bonaire multiple times
  • I live or own property there - Never been a victim of crime on Bonaire
  • I live or own property there - I was a victim of crime on Bonaire
  • There once not a victim of crime, but everyone I talk to at dive sites has been a victim
  • Never been there, but I was a victim of crime on Bonaire multiple times
  • Is this poll about Cozumel?
  • I have no personal experience with crime on Bonaire, but ANYWHERE is safer than Bonaire
  • Pifi Answer: Been to Bonaire once, 5 years ago, didn't get anything stolen, but thinks he knows all about crime on Bonaire, but can't back up his answers with any facts

Sadly I have never had a clue. This apparently means that I can view the conditions on islands like Bonaire realistically without turning it into the End of the World. I want the money to get the clue so I can for once understand how some people's minds work.

Never been there, but I was a victim of crime on Bonaire multiple times

Well, after reading that option I could not answer the poll. Honestly. There is no point because that is the only correct answer on this poll. Proof is on SB.

I've been to Bonaire twice. Not victimized, not even heard anyone talking about being victim while I was there - but I do believe it happens and take precautions. But the ultimate truth is the tenth option, there is no escaping that loop.

Actually, I am interested in reading about some of those who have been a victim once or multiple times... What were the circumstances, etc. If they haven't already posted their story.

I would as well but I would prefer it not to turn into anything beyond the discussion. We all know they happen.....to get the first hand accounts is what then can make it "real".

Obviously for those discussions to be effective, we would need certain individuals to cooperate which so far has never happened.
