All Mondays suck. Except when you wake up at CoCoView and go to breakfast. Did you notice that unusual clock Herself and I hung on the post over the menu board?

Makes Monday a lot more tolerable.

And then there's "Eviction Papers" Thursday. Now that sucks.

Now, repeat after me, Tex... Row-uh-tan (That's how us Yankees mispronounce it)

Your killing me here... :D

Sorry to say I don't believe I saw the clock but then again the horn blast (if they remembered) let me know it was time to dive...

The eviction papers brought us back to reality pretty quick...

Speaking of pronunciations and such, try getting a Texan and Bostonian together and if your looking for some real laughs toss in a Cajun... Everyone leaves scratching their head! :D

FYI on tipping...

We all have our feelings on tipping... I happen to be one of "those" who have a disdain for tipping although I tip very well. I would rather be charged for the full price and let the employer pay but please; this IS another discussion all in itself!

I did want to let you know that if your running short on cash you can tip with the credit card... I had just enough cash but Friday we wanted to check out the West End... I ended up tipping our DM (Mel), Boat Captain (Dave) along with a little extra for Robert in cash... Hotel tip (housekeeping, kitchen staff, Dock Masters, and others) I used the credit card...

Some folks did not know about using the credit card for tips so a couple missed out going to town because they thought they were short...

Again, just an FYI...

Lee, I came on the board to write my own Roatan report and found you had beat me to it!

There were only 7 of us on the boat and Captain Dave and Mel did a great job.

BTW, did you guys get caught it that snarl on the way back? Flights to JFk were being diverted all over the place, as I heard it. Atlanta was a nightmare--and we ended up spending the night there.

Hope you and the wife are doing well and not feeling as bummed out as we are to be back to real life!

I think we have a few of those on this board :mooner:

Hey you... I thought I knew who "Sorrows" was and then reading your post confirmed it!

As far as Atlanta went; we saw the mess but was not effected by it other than the angry folks rushing around trying to make other arrangements... After reading your post I feel awful how it all ended for you three! Ours went off pretty much without a hitch...

As to beating your report... Not a chance!!! Yours was a report whereas mine was chicken scratch... Your report was very, very well written and pretty much hit the nail on the head! I don't think I would differ from you one iota... I new a couple of folks were heading out to CCV (see RoatanMan, I try and pay attention :D) and was trying to give them a "heads up" before they departed.

My best to you and yours and it sure seems your raising one "fine young man"...

PS Those are some really nice pictures you took... The disposable we bought to replace the one that got away was pretty much that, a disposable. Without the flash, anything deeper than 10' was washed out of color but that came as no real surprise... Even the Red Seahorse on that last dive came out poorly... I was really pulling for just that one picture to come out but; it was a great trip and I can still see it in my mind!!!

Too funny... I thought you might be around! Still laughing cause that looks alot like my wife's butt!!!

Lee, thanks for the lovely compliments! And it's obvious to me that you two are fated to become hardcore divers. Sooner or later you are going to have to get a camera. Yeah, it's an investment--suck it up, my friend, because you have chosen a wonderful but expensive hobby.

Seriously, you'll get there eventually. If you need any advice, guidance, etc. you can talk to my husband or son. I'm sorry you missed the red seahorse because, honestly, that was the finest seahorse (in phopgraphy terms) I have ever seen! You can imagine how we felt with a flooded camera!

BTW, the comments about the wife--she doesn't read this thing, does she? You're a brave man!

Its really sad for us because the camera we lost on day 3 took really good pictures... No macro but still took pretty good pictures... I am just waiting for someone on FI to find it and ask for the reward!!! We had some pictures on it but what the heck; it is what it is...

I was already looking for another camera for our trip to Bonaire this summer but when I showed T your pictures (she was blown away with the quality) that pretty much opened the purse strings, well, to some extent...

I wanted to say something cute... then I started chuckling to my self... I will always think of you guys during "duck" season... and want you to know that I am grinning from ear to ear! :D

Thanks RoatanMan for the pictures - looking forward to trying it out. It has been over a decade since we visited CoCo View - too long. I can't wait to get there now if only my ear would get well (a little congestion) soon so my diving won't be spoiled.
