I agree with all of this, except the serial killer. A slow, painful, agonizing death would be my prescription. But that's just me.... My point is this- The humane treatment of an animal is killing it in the quickest and most painless way possible, whether its a sick/injured pet a serial killer or dinner...

Maybe you have me confused with someone else. Or maybe you are trying to force a point by putting words into my mouth.
My point is this- The humane treatment of an animal is killing it in the quickest and most painless way possible, whether its a sick/injured pet a serial killer or dinner.
The methods used by whalers have a high probability that the animal is injured and will suffer before death, being that they are shooting from a moving platform a large distance from the target. I question the humanity.
Another fact that hightens my concern is the same cultures treatment of sharks for their consumption. That sickens me.
