TACA/ROATAN/DUTY FREE

We are flying TACA on 3/6 LAX -Roatan (Cocoview). Can you buy duty free alcohol in San Salvador airport? We could buy it when landing in Fiji, but couldn't buy it in Mexico City

Thanks
Cheryl

Its really not worth worrying about it. Prices for alcohol are very low on Roatan.

And I'm thinking that it might likely be even cheaper for many regular brands on the Island.

Someone mentioned you can ask the CocoView driver to stop at the grocery store and give him a nice tip and buy him a soda. Is that correct or would we be presumptuous?

If there is an issue then let him take your bags and you take a cab, load up on supplies at the grocery store and it will far offset the cost of the cab ride
