Ya know idocsteve if you had read the OP 1st post you know that he's not running from a jail sentence.

And thanks for clarifying my errror, in face Dale is running from 5 years probation not jail time.

That's pretty lame...he's gotta play the role of fugitive, always watching his back, and facing stiffer penalties simply because he can't accept that he's gotta check in with a probation officer once in a while?

And those who think the system "works"... here's a convicted wife beater who wasn't going to see even one day in jail as a result of his actions.

Nice, eh?

How do we know this Dale Batt guy is still alive?
Apparently he does have a FaceBook page: Dale Batt | Facebook
When was the last time he was "verifiably" seen?
Are we creating another URBAN LEGEND here?

What would the urban legend be? Look in the Mirror and say his name three times and he comes out and asks you to go diving?

Actually he is running from a jail sentence. When sentenced on crimes such as this, 1st offense dui/dwi, 1st marijuana, shoplifting etc, the jail time is suspended and the convicted person is placed on probation in an effort to rehabilitate the offender through classes and education (for what that is worth). Failure to satisfy the terms of probation brings back the jail time which is usually 6 mo's on a first conviction in most states.

I think this isn't him. This page is from Australia and he is linked to a high school he attended there.
