Heading down to CCV for our first trip there next month. Any hints or tips, or "must knows" that we should be aware of? Anything different or unique that we should take? Obviously we're excited. :D

I see you have added your name to the list that Doc linked for you....most of your questions if you have any can be answered on Cocochat....take Cactus Juice or cutters advanced to keep the sandflies at bay:D hope you have a great trip :)

Doggie snacks for the boss.

If you have the room bring some of your own snacks too.
The meals are scheduled. If you stay on schedule you will always be full. If you skip one or take a long nap you may have to wait a while for food.
There is a small snack shack on the property but they are very limited.
This is all based on 2007 and prior so things may have changed. I jsut pack some granola bars, M&M's, etc.

You are going to have an awsome time!

Definitely definitely definitely take Cactus Juice and lots of it (I'd suggest a couple of bottles per person*week). Also, I'd suggest taking something for jelly stings, and/or as much neoprene cover as you can get (full wet suit + hood). The jellies might not be out in force right now, but you can always go without the hood or change wet suits.

Thanks everyone, I know about the bugs and have already purchased 2 cans of bug spray (one for the dive locker, one for the room). The snack idea is a good one. We've heard there are coffee makers in the rooms and lousy coffee in the clubhouse, so we're taking some Starbucks VIA for my husband and tea for me. :)

Does the bus from the airport stop at a store where we can pick up beer or other adult libation?

it is Honduran coffee it is only bad if you don't like it:dontknow: you can ask the driver to stop if you want to go to the store...but be aware there will be others on the bus that may want to get to the resort...better to buy your snacks stateside...they do have small fridges and coffee makers in the rooms....I usually bring some snacks but never eat them because I stay full from the meals they serve...I usually end up giving them to the boat crew....

There is a bar in the club house and the prices are not out of line!

You will be able to drink in the evenings for less than a local bar (I would bet)!

I doubt the bus stops but if you can, get to the beer distributor. Beer is well under a dollar for a case and I can guarantee you can't beat that price anywhere.
