Unsuspecting Newb:
Hi, I'm new to ScubaBoard! Should I get a Spare Air?

"Spare Air? Did you say Spare Air? Why, my brother dives with a Spare Air! Do you know my brother? No? Then why do you go round talking about my brother? I'll have you know my brother is one of the finest guys to have ever walked in shoe leather. My brother was an honor student at school! Go ahead, say something nasty about my brother. Say something like 'he shouldn't get a parole!'...go ahead!"

Oh good, another spare air thread.

I always dive with a snorkel

A spare air is ok. Nice to have if ever needed. Hopefully you will give it a try from 40-50 feet to see what it's actual capabilities are before you use it in an emergency.

Lots more to the whole idea of a spare air, but I'll leave that to your "search" in this forum as to why, how much and other monitoring specifics......

I will dive with any diver that wants to get better but when I see a spare air I go the other way. A real spare air is a al40! :D

wow... I'am Speachless....

wow... I'am Speachless....

It is kind of amazing that an obviously tongue-in-cheek parody of a Spare Air thread not only receives real responses, but that some of those responses then garner "THANKS" from others who have responded.

:shocked2:

Makes you wonder if anyone actually reads ANY Spare Air post before responding to it!

Attractive Female Diver: "Is that a Spare Air in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"

Poorly Equipped Male Diver: "That's a Spare Air in my pocket."

Attractive Female Diver: (losing interest) "Oh, sorry about that."

Should a gentleman offer to share his spare air with a lady?
