Cool video Fred. If you do another video from the air...and we can get some decent shots of the cavern lit up....might make for a good Morrison presentation. Could you fly your plan down the run toward the spring? Or is the distance the plane can get away from you to limited? That would be a cool shot flying down the spring run toward the spring.

I'll try, but if I lose the plane, I am blaming you...

I am heading over there today. Sadly the water quality is cruddy. On better days, I would be able to see down into the mouth of the cave. I'll get that shot, one of these days.

Woo hoo!

Got some pretty good video today.

You could see the boil as I flew around it, and did some in and out of the woods, some nice shots of the dive platform, the boardwalk, and pavilion, all in one pass.

I'll edit it up and bring it here when I'm done.

This project is almost enough to make me want to get back in the water...

back in the water? like how? in the "boat of doom"?

I mean it's not like you know how to dive or something...

It's blue styrofoam you scarfed from building sites and Hot-Glue! (still pretty cool though that it flies after you built it).

Excuse me!

I paid for that blue styrofoam, thank you very much!

Aside from that, I have a $40 motor on it, another $15 worth of speed control, two $15 dollar servos, a $30 battery, and a $50 receiver.

(for the math challenged, that's about $150 worth of electronics to make that go...)

On top of that, I have the very expensive ($15) camera (with a $15 memory card...) riding on that plane.

Video will be next on the editing table, had to knock a couple others out of the way first.

I'm surprised you not using stryofoam with a "big mac" logo on the side from styro-foam you got from a #1 combo meal!

camera... high tech with a "Keychain camera". (but pretty freaking creative considering how it's low weight. seems to work pretty good :thumb: )

Mot enough flat surface to be useful. Besides, the grease makes it hard to glue.

The camera is awesome! Picture quality far exceeds previous purpose built micro cameras. It's lighter, and more streamlined. If you don't like the keychain FOB case, take it off and seal it in heat shrink.

Will if that is all it takes...we will conduct a bunch of picture projects just to lure you back in to diving. We need someone there who can insult us and keep us motivated.:D

He just wants to be the diver in the picture we were talking about ....
