Get one nasty ear infection and that will all change. I've been swimming for years well before I got into diving. Never had a problem. Got my first ear infection when I started diving and I make sure to flush my ears almost immediately after a dive. I pack my solution in my gear bag. Never again!

I put a dab of peanut butter just inside the opening to each ear.

My dog LOVES peanut butter!

Yes, just use Q-Tips every day! Used on a daily basis it is all you need. I'm not kidding - I had real problems until I got my ears flushed (because you need to use Q-tips daily and I did not) and absolutely no problems since then - just use them every single day so nothing builds up.
I seriously hope you're joking! Q-tips are THE DEVIL!!!:shakehead: Ask any ENT doctor, and they will tell you "Q-tips around the outside only" If you remove all of the wax inside your ear, you've just removed the natural protection your ears make to prevent infections. Even if you have an excessive buildup of wax, you're supposed to use drops.

I don't, the water flows right thru my head. In one ear out the other.
