Any Interest in a Dive at Destin Jetties???????

GLenFWB and I were talking on the phone about diving the Destin Jetties, but the tides are now moving to late night/early morning high tides for the next month or so. I have found one day this month were the tides will cooperate, although it is during a neap tide on September 18th. High tide on the 18th (a Friday) is scheduled at 12:26.

If nobody is interested in that we could make a night dive at the jetties on Saturday with a high tide of 11:05 PM.

I just wanted to shoot this out there to see if there was any interest.

I am game for either one...I love night dives at the jetties. But, the noon dive is okay with me also. I will go with the majority on this one....or heck, worst case scenario is we do BOTH dives with whoever can show up.

Just to clarify, Friday would be a daytime dive at 12:26. If we wanted to do a night dive it would be on Saturday. I am working off nights Friday morning, but I would be willing to drive over to the jetties straight from work and get a few winks in my truck prior to the dive if there is interest.

vis was around 20-25ft, but it was labor day weekend with 5 millions snorkelers, once i got out to the outer turn to about 50 ft it cleared up even more.

I'm headed down to Panama City Friday the 18th for the SUDS weekend event. I just need to be there by 6pm or so for the Friday night reception. I will be doing boat dives out of PCB on Saturday and Sunday. I might be able to squeeze in a jetty dive midday Friday. How far is it from Ft Pickens to Panama City?

I wish I could meet you out there at PCB for a few dives during the SUDS event, but I have to save some money for my upcoming cavern class.
