Well iztok, if you find yourself in the southeast PA area anytime soon our offer will be to finish your Peak Performance Buoyancy in style, as 'Betty Rubble' and a bunch of others enjoyed this past weekend!

Look for this weekends Dutch Springs shenanigans pictures on the photo gallery on the Indian Valley Website in the next couple of days!

Thank you for the offer! I will need to complete the PPB before my trip to SE PA. I am not familiar with the geography up there. I do come to DC area on a regular basis. Is it a far drive from there? I also occasionally end up near NYC on business. With some careful planning I could fly in Friday, do diving on weekend, do work Mon-Wed then fly back home.

I do not dive steel as Betty does (right now I am on AL80) and with my 5mm XL Instadry I am at 10lbs. I think it is about right (but then again I said that when I had 14lbs until I forgot to put 4lbs tank weight once

Honestly I do not mind training areas at all. I find it a bit more difficult to "dial it just right" for the depth and few feet one way or the other make it a challenge.

How far of a drive is this from Newark airport? Just wondering as it seems NYC trip might be the best opportunity. Do you dive year round? What is the water temp? (I have 3, 5, 7 mm exposure protection that I can bring.)

Congrats on 50!!!!!! Good luck with Rescue . . . after AOW it is on my list too.

Thanks! I see you are on "accelerated" course as well. I got my OW last weekend in June and my AOW on August 15th. Completed Enriched Air, Wreck, and Night dive specialties and finioshed 3 Deep dives and 1 PPB dive so far.

Working on my EFR book and video now for this coming weekend class.

This learning never stops does it?

I can't believe I once had 24lbs (in June) for my 7mm and now I need only 12lbs (10lbs on 5 and 8lbs on 3).

Hey Iztok - a trip to Dutch Springs, like BR and others do almost every weekend, is a little over an hour from Newark. I am sure that with a little coordination you could even link up with some of the DNYer's in the area and be set for the weekend.

I'm thinking of doing the nitrox with my AOW if the budget allows. I gotta get a 2nd job to pay for my diving! LOL

Wow you are way ahead of me! That is awesome. And no, the learning never stops. But that's half the fun of diving. :D

Great job on dropping the weight. Doesn't it make the diving part soooo much more relaxed!! I was surprised how much easier and less tiring it was to dive with just a few less pounds!

Have you dove moorehead? I really want to dive there.

Yeah what he said!! :D

Or jump on one of our dive trips. I think ITTI might have one boat spot still open and of course the shore dives are all open -- we just got finalize what those are! LOL

Besides, half the fun of diving with the DNY crowd is the surface intervals. They are a blast.

Why are you blaming me Ms. Rubble? :)

No I didn't dive Moorhead yet, I only have 8 ocean dives so far. All of them were out of Little River, SC (Barracuda Alley, BP-25, The Bill Perry, and The Sherman).

Where are the shore dives? and ITTI one? I am in Charlotte, NC and I do travel some for business but not as much as I used to.

Right now I have 9/5 scheduled for EFR and 9/18-20 for Rescue.

We dive year round at Lake Norman PDRA Quarry (well I just started in June  but if anyone is down this way and wants to do a quarry dive let me know I can bring few quests in for free. (Several submerged boats, sail boats, cruiser, cars, training platforms, swim throughs etc... depth is down to 35ft in training area and 95ft where the cruiser is. Current water temp is around 84F until 20-22ft then drops down and at 95ft is around 50F. So if you want to go that deep and stay for a while a dry suit or 7mm (I do 5mm and I can manage for a while then I go up to warmer water :).

Hey! I don't think she was blaming you

We do have "Thursday Night Dives" here where people show up after work, bring some food and drinks, do a dive or two and eat/drink afterward.

Read her User Title :)

I wish I had a location closer I could do weeknight after work dives . . . a nice relaxing dive is so nice after a long day at work.
