Does anyone know of a supplier that sells Laithed K or Din200/300 valves ? Im looking for a valve for a steel 72 I have but do not want a vintage valve. Northeast Scuba used to have them but I here they are sold out...

Thanks.....

I dont quite understand what valve you need, but I have been buying valves from this company for over 30 years. Have a squiz through the catalog Sanosub Diving catalogue If they dont have a valve to fit your requirements I would be very surprized.

They do OEM work for many of the big scuba manufacturers, so their quality is beyond reproach. Dont know if they sell direct into the USA though, you may need to contact them to see if they have a distributor there or what they suggest.

If all you need is a yoke valve and not a DIN or convertible one what is the problem with a vintage valve.

I think the op is looking for a modern valve of any configuration that has been reduced to fit the 1/2" tanks.

To the OP: At this time I am not aware of anybody selling them. I just turn them down myself. Try your local machine shop for a few dollars they can take care of it for you.

Out of interest, what is the valve size on modern tanks?

A vintage k-valve would work but I think would perfer a DIN Valve... Sorry that I didnt state that previously..... Just wanted to see what type of feedback I would get in regards to my question....

I was hoping not to get recommended a J-valve... "Not that there is anything wrong with that".... :D

Thanks Hallmac... I will check out the local machine shop... Would you know how much that would typcially cost?

Around $5.00 to $10.00 if they are busy. catch them on a good day and bring a cold beer, who knows.

Why, there is no difference, you don't want the reserve just leave the lever down. I have done it for 40 years. It's not like it has any chance of it completely shutting off your air.
