Dive World 2.8 and Scubaland 3.1 miles. Michael and I will visit both shops for different reasons. We prefer to do business with Dive World however.

OK, the main part of Avalon is one square mile and there are three dive shops: Scuba Luv, Catalina Divers Supply and Dive Catalina (Ron Moore). Given that, the farthest I have to go is about 5 blocks. Sure makes it tough to get my tank filled. Yes, I know... I live in one of the world's dive paradises. Someone has to do it.

My closest LDS is 12.1 miles and I have to pass it on the way to the local quarry which is a 13.3 miles from my house. With that said I actually drive 45.7 miles in the other direction to go to another LDS that I am fond of.

My closest dive shop is 6 miles away, but I prefer to go to a shop that is 28 miles away because the people are nicer and the service is better.

Maybe five miles or so to the nearest; another mile or so to the other LDS in town.

Around 100 miles or so up I-10 are several more dive shops in the Phoenix metropolitan, so not too bad if we need to find something in stock.

The nearest LDS is medium sized, with a decent selection and friendly staff, so I consider us fortunate to have a good shop so close. The other LDS in town is smaller, with not nearly as good a selection, but they are competent and friendly as well. I have no qualms about patronizing either one.

there are at least 4 within just a few miles but I spend most of my $ online at LP and ST..

My LDS is less than five kilometres/three miles away.
However, I primarily use that one for air fills.

I frequent several LDS that do sell the gear I'm interested in (DUI, Halcyon, Apeks, Salvo, Heser) but they're about 50 miles away.

My closest dive shop is about 4 miles away, the next one is 12 miles away, and there are a few others around out about 25 to 35 miles away. The problem is none of them have anything I want or can use so I just go to the one 12 miles away or one about 25 miles away for air fills, that's it. The rest I buy online.

Many of my friends believe that the closest dive shop to my house is accessed through a door in my rec room ... here's a partial view ...

But the dive shop I frequent most often is about a five-minute drive from my office ... I usually go either during lunch break or after work before I go home.

Closest shop - about twenty-five miles. Shop I use most, about 6,000 miles.

We must shop in the same place :D

The dive shop in Hilo is about 10 minutes from my home, and a few hundred yards from my workplace. But a great deal of my equipment shopping is online.

Best wishes.
