Now to ask the BIG question,... what is the fallback plan if we can't get into Turkey Roost? Camping sites will be where? Considering that our group usually brings ten cars+, that would be a nasty addition to the devil's area.

Turkey roost itself has cleared. The road in is 90% clear. The wooded area to either side still has a lot of standing water. The run is down almost another full step today. I think the Roost will be just fine for this weekend.

The first 400-500ft of the cave is a bit green/cloudy, but still plenty of vis. Clears up great after the river intrusion tunnel. Dove Mainland today and it was gorgeous!

72 hours and counting!

Cool deal, thanks for the update Marc... looks like I'll be tent shopping tomorrow night...

Maybe not, looked in the garage and located one old tent... guess I'll be setting it up tomorrow night to make sure all parts accounted for....!

Timmy/Kitty,

When will you be heading up?

I will be heading out to shop later to complete the mega-quonset-mansion-tent-pvc construction from the Underworld! I have some grill cleaning to do and gather Par Tay Mat Eerie L's together. I probably will not be diving this weekend, just snorkin'. I have been rearranging so much, my gear is literally EVERYWHERE!!! I will focus on cooking and campside activities and leave the rest to bobbing for college students.

We need a food update....
Who is bringing what. Would somebody with a few minutes, parse through the thread and gather information on food items. Please? :D thanks.

When will you be heading up?

Friday afternoon..., hoping to have truck mostly loaded tomorrow night... We'll be arriving after sundown, so likely not going to make dinner, unless its late...

And we'll be setting up tent in the dark...

Here's what I was able to pull out of the thread.... Does anyone have a High Springs source for firewood? I'm used to people being weird about transporting wood distances... whole infesting bug problems from Ohio...

Marchand: I'll be bringing a smoker/grill for cooking copious amounts of food on, eggs, some firewood, and lots of tanks.

Jenny and Hermit Crab: stuff for s'mores, something to eat on Sat afternoon, probably crab cakes or the like, bacon for brekky, plastic stuff to eat with.. RUM

Deepseawolf: I will be bringing cooking materials as usual. I will be bringing the Scubaboard banner and Rumtote! RUM!!!

Brewone0to: We will bring potato salad, burgers, and some breakfast stuff for those imfamous MegaDive omelettes.

Jeano: Count me in for chips , soda , brats and general food stuffs...

Marc: rum, and chips, and rum, and cookies, and rum.

Andy: Cash

Netmage\Tas: Misc food fixins, 360 spoons, forks, knives, Chinette, 2 medium bags of Kingsford...

Other relevant misc notes:

Food- Friday night, on your own. We usually do a light snack and somebody will have a grill going that you can throw stuff on.

Brekky is omlettes, MegaDive style.

Saturday afternoon is the big picnic lunch

Dinner is leftovers after the galaxy dive along with s'mores and whatever else is available around the campfire. (I assume this is where the rum comes into play...)

Sunday Brekky is omlettes, MegaDive style.
Break down, say good byes :( and start making plans for the fall MegaDive.

What to bring:
Tent and all the paraphania.. air mattress, sleeping bag, pillows etc.
Chair for sitting round the campfire.
All the dive gear you can stash in your car.

And food - It is easier to bring a quantity of a couple things than trying to bring something for every meal. Bring something to share for Sat lunch and both breakfasts.

Lunch usually consists of chicken, burgers, brats, chips, cakes, drinks...

Brekky is:
Eggs, bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, fungus, and anything else you can think of putting on an omlette. Also juice, sweet confections, coffee.

Additional items that may be needed/brought/used: FIREWOOD (HINT HINT FOOL!!!!!), song lyrics, musical instruments, innertubes, kayak, etc...

Hmmm, think I'll also make a Costco run and pick up a couple of their rotisserie chickens for lunch, and muffins for breakfast.

Oh yeah, and the rum. Although, just a word of warning, no glass bottles allowed on the premises.

Tim- THANKS so much for the list! You rock!

Thanks for the reminder Joyce on the glass!
Firewood has traditionally been brought in my ScubaFool, but unfortunatley, he and his family will not be joining us. :( Any locals help here??

We will be leaving before noon on Friday.
