I hear there is no thermacline in Lake Superior. That its the same freaking cold from top to bottom.
And that its thicker than all the other lakes.

Well, I guess it's the only sport I care about NZ winning, although it looks like we're having a bit of trouble putting the boots to NZ in the Chappell-Hadlee...
Speaking of, Tiggrr... if you think the cricketers are nice, you oughtta see the rugby players... just don't let 'em smile, 'cos they've all got summer teeth...

It depends on the year. Sometimes there is no thermocline, when there's been some good wave action to mix the water up... sometimes it's warm! Other times, not so much. It was about 42 at depth when I dived the Madiera the first weekend in September.
