There's some characters on the board. Any stories from your courses, or fun dives of practical jokes played underwater?

I'm trying to think of a good pranks for some folks. After all the tech 1 reports I've read I'm considering bringing like 6 backup masks with me and seeing how long it takes before the instructor just gives up.

Ed Gabe was telling me about one dive involving a hidden hot dog and a swarm of bluegill. Any other fun stories?

My guess is that it will take 7 masks for your instructor to give up in this case........

Well, this wasn't in a class, but it was definitely a practical joke -- Kevin snuck up on me!

Haha, im so going to do that to someone.

Got to admire your trim and buoyancy control :)

Kevin or monkey on the back...no problem for Lynne. Just don't taker her mask off...

Boredom at the quarry = rocks on doubles. Note that I am the victim of this heinous crime. :shocked2:

First day of T1, Sherwood magically takes our deco bottles without us noticing (before the class, I SWORE this would be impossible) and throws them to the bottom of the St. Lawrence. I miss the humor, but he seems to find it funny.

Edit: Another highlight of that course concerned one of the students (a good buddy) who insisted he needed the H weight pockets he was using. For whatever reason, Bob doesn't like the H weight pockets. So, he proceeds to still both over a one hours skills dive. Buddy never noticed either Bob take them or that they were missing. Guess they weren't needed after all.

Another favorite was in Fundies. It's maybe day two (of four) and we're reviewing the days video. Ed Hayes is leading the discussion. For some reason, he's wearing a backup light attached to his belt. I remember thinking to myself at some point "that's cool, he has a Photon Torpedo just like me". Watching more video, we come to many points where he's offering feedback on my trim, kicks, etc, each time pausing the video on me. At the end of the lecture, we're about to head to dinner when he hands me *my* backup light. ***? Turns out he took it five minutes into the first dive of the day. Never noticed. Not while gearing up numerous times, not when breaking down gear at the end of the day, not during two hours of video review where it's clearly missing from my harness, and not even while it dangles from Ed's belt (my light of course has my name on it in big letters). I really didn't deserve the light back...
