Lake Pleasant Diving

On Sunday my son and I went for our 2nd O/W dive. We're still learning our way around Lake Pleasant so I don't know the names but we went to desert tortise and took a left at the cross roads and did our first dive in that cove. We got to about 25ft and swam around the bottem. Visibility was about 10ft. We did scare a crawdad, he thouhgt that was cool. I was surprised to find so much trash, we need to get collection bags for next time. We also found a fishing pole that we brought up and gave to a guy on shore. Our next dive we made in burro cove. We got to 48ft, our deepest yet! Again not much to see. Lots of old trees and we did find an old anchor. Couldn't figure how to get it back to shore. Over all a lot of fun just a bit cold at first.

Welcome to SB and the local diving scene. As you can see from the posts there are a lot of crazy, er, um, dedicated divers going to the lake on a regular basis so don't be a stranger. Post something here before you go and we'll join you.

The area you were diving in sounds like Two Cow Cove. Just north of where you were there are a lot of huge bolders that in a few months will be at over 80 feet. Looking forward to diving with you soon.

Anyone diving This coming Saturday December 6th? It'll be only 5 days before the Potluck/Meet n Greet on Thursday. I won't be able to make the Meet N Greet on that Thursday but I would still like to dive perhaps on that Saturday the 6th.

Hey Josh, the M&G is on the 13th, so I hope you find some buddies to dive with on the 6th, and I hope you come out on the 13th.

Great! I thought it was going to be on a Thursday. I might just be able to make it there on the 13th. If anyone still wants to dive the Saturday before, on the 6th, then I'd be interested too.

Hey Josh:

No definite plans yet however, I anticipate being at the lake sometime this weekend. If I remember correctly, Steve also made reference of gong to the lake.

Also, both of the tanks that Steve bought passed their hydros witout any problems. In fact, he used one of them durng our dive on Saturday. Your tank is still sitting in my garage. I'll try to get it to you this weekend.

The lake was great today!!! It was calm, clear and cool, what more could we ask for? The viz was around 15/20ft. and the temp right at 60deg. I would have loved to have been fun diving but I had a student out, so it was all work and no play. It should be a great weekend for diving for everyone going out there.

Terry and I will be diving Vista on Saturday at 8AM to go test out some new tec configurations if anyone wants to tag along.
