i just have one question, how are they charging him when attempting to elude when the officer never started pursuit and then the guy simply turned around parked his jet ski on the boat and when he stepped into the boat there was no room so he just simply fell in the water
My understanding from someone who saw it is that he took off after the jetski sprayed the cop. however, he didn't go very far until he turned around to come back at the marine police boat to spray him again.
However, in this brief moment of prob under a minute, the marine police thought he was in "hot pursuit" like Roscoe P. Coltrain. So therefore he was "eluding" the police during that brief "hot pursuit...."
I wonder what else is involved in the story... That Marine Police officer that this happened to is not well liked. He's known for harrasing boaters more than he is for doing his job. I'm betting the guy just got tired of his crap.
some of the folks who own the high dollar boats in the Marina have joked that they'd pay the guys bail if he'd do it again and they all got to watch.
