Lawrence sheriff: Man stabs friend for buying wrong brand of beer

MOULTON — A Hillsboro man was in good condition at Huntsville Hospital on Thursday after his friend stabbed him for buying the wrong brand of beer, Sheriff Gene Mitchell said.

“One put the money up and said which kind to go get, and he came back with the wrong kind,” Mitchell said.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department charged Grady “Skip” Wilburn Dollar, 64, of 221 Lawrence County 367 with first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing Mickey Joe Hill, 37, of Hillsboro.

Dollar is out of jail on $5,000 bail.

Mitchell said deputies found Hill at Lawrence Medical Center early Thursday morning. The stabbing occurred at Dollar’s home, Mitchell said.​

Somehow I bet that either no one will buy beer or him again, or if they do, they'll make damn sure they get it right.


I just wonder what brand of beer was at issue? with it being the county it's located in, I bet it was just cheap old Busch or PBR that caused this issue
