Im looking to go to The bahamas in the next couple of months, never been. What island should i go to dive, and where should i fly into? i even thought about a ferry from florida. i am very cheap! I dont know anything so any info w0uld be great thanks

Discovery Cruise lines offers ferry service from Port Everglades to Freeport. It's fairly cheap and you get to eat real good. Breakfast and lunch buffett on the way over, dinner buffett on the way back. It's like a minature cruise ship.

For dirt cheap dives, stay home, find a puddle ;)

For great diving, nice boat, excellent staff, check outGrand Bahama Scuba

I've been to Grand Bahama and Abaco. Neither were cheap. Grand Bahama has wrecks, reefs and caverns. Abaco has great swim through and lots of pelgics. GB has more to do topside and is a little cheaper for food and drinks.

I used Stuart Cove and stayed at the Orange Hill Beach Inn. If you contact Stuart Cove they can work a package together with your dives and hotel stay. I really liked the hotel because it was inexpensive and friendly. A lot of divers use this place because it is quiet, unlike the busy and touristy side of the island. I stayed 7 nights and did 6 days of diving, including a shark dive. It cost me 1,300 all together. There is also some decent snorkeling off the beach by the motel. Each day I got done diving, I would grab my snorkel and fins and get back in the water. I shared the beach with 3-5 people every day.

Blackbeard's cruises!! they are the cheapest in the bahamas for sure.. you end up payin about a thousand bucks and its on a liveboard sailboat.. the boats are 65 feet long and can accomodate a bunch of divers.. the grand gets you 3 meals a day and when i went two weeks ago we put in 21 dives stretching from grand bahama, to bimini, to andros.. it was sooooooooooooooooo awesome!!! i did a bunch of searching and they are for sure the cheapest.. the crew was awesome and i had a blast.. i'm thinking of re booking

Nothing is cheap in the Bahamas or anywhere you want to go for scuba diving!!
