Just when you thought valve drills were considered task loading.

An earlier poster said that the video of the Seabob being used on the surface reminded him of a scene with Kevin Costner in the movie Waterworld using himself as a human trolling lure (filmed in large part here on the Big Island :D ). I was thinking the same thing.... at least here in Hawaii, I'd be just a little bit nervous zooming and splashing along on the surface, along the edge of the reef:

:sharkattack:

Looks like a heck of a lot of fun.... wonder if they come in Black for the DIR crowd :D

Where do you buy those Bang Sticks again?

N

the "bang stick" inone of the movies was a old distress flare ... but it didn't work. it does normaly under water.

the seabob has enough power to keep you of safely from reefs or other dangers. it has 5-7 horse power!!!

i told you all, once you know how to handle it and everything fits (scuba equipment) the seabob and the diver are one unit, and you can do what you want on the surface and up to 40 m water depth.

you can set electronicaly via the display a maximum depth or maximum speed or maximum time. the seabob will stopp automatically when you go deeper as programmed.

the program is even protected by a user pin!

of course the seabob will stop when you let it go. it will travell some meeters more and simply stop. if the buoyancy is set up neutral then it will just stay in the water next to you.

we had it figured out, so that the seabob will just float on the surface and when you are under water it is just a bit negative so you can park it on the ground and it stays.
that is because of the rubber nose, that will expand and contract a bit under pressure.

if you buy the official diving weight from seabob it is not buoyenced that precise.
only we know the right amount of weight. in the movies you can see the developement of the perfect weight.
first we used regular diving weights for testing where and how much you need (slide show). after that we formed the perfect weight that looks similar to the original weight sold by seabob ... with the differens that we used two weights for better trim.

so you see we know what we are doing.

just write us, book a flight to mallorca and try it with us. if you like it then it's time to buy one ... but don't worry we are not pushing you to buy one because our specialety is to use it!!! you can buy one on the internet via the seabob company.
just tell them robin (the guy that tested the seabob in Crete Island and put the movies on youtube) send you, and they will know.

if you are interessted pleas contact me directely because i will not place conditions
here in the forum.
our official offer/ seabob shop still depends on negotiations with the seabob company (Cayago AG) since we have to use their brand name ... it's all the typical burocratic hassle and to top it german burocratics ... as you know we Germans want to do everything just perfect ... that takes time.

never the less, here in mallorca we are set up for fun fun fun test drive/dive (just like in the movies) and for the time beiing we can get you the best price trough our connections. we have also from time to time tested used sebobs for sale.
right now we have one that is good as new (new high tech battery). the previous owner did not charge it so the batterie said good by!

there is one thing you have to take care of with the seabob (only one)!

you must keep a minimum charge in the batterie constantly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that means you must charge it at least once every 3-4 months when not using it.

the high tech batterie is the same they use in satellites. they are very special and very expensive. i saw the cells in the seabob head quaters ... it is true!

you can charge the batteries when ever you like, regardless if they are halfe empty or any other state. you can run down the batterie with the seabob untill it stopps ... no problem because the electronic will reduce power ( so you can get back). at the very end it stopps finaly and needs to be charged as soon as possible.

if you miss charging it for a long time, the electronic system will warn you by beeping sound. if you still not charge it the batterie will be dead and has to be replaced. the batterie costs you about halfe the price of the seabob ... at the moment!!! not to metion shipping to the headquaters and so on.

the only common damage on the seabob is, that some users on big yachts (crew) forget to charge it ... the batterie say good by.

to prevent that problem you can keep the charger online all the time (it charges only little) or you charge the seabob approx. once every 3 months.
no problem!

so, the used sebob we have to offer has had that problem and the battrei was replaced by seabob ... it is therefore as good as new because all ather parts are designed to hold forever.

best regards from mallorca

How thick of a wetsuit would I need in Mallorca during Nov~Feb? I found this on the internets:

Water Temp
March12-13
April 13-14
May 14-15
June 15-17
July 18-20
Aug 20-24
Sept 20-24
Oct 20-22

Sounds cold. We usually wait until the water is 78-82 degrees. And, just where is this country called Mallorca, anyway?

My name is "Bob", too!

Bravely bold Sir Robin...rode forth on his SeaBob....
He was not afraid to die, no, Brave Sir Robin!
He was not in the least bit scared to be killed in nasty waves...
Brave brave brave brave Sir Robin....

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp
Or to cause a big silt out during penetration
To have his Seabob split and his body float away
and his brains all splattered about and used as fish food...

:rofl3:

just keep on sitting in front of your HD TV and keep watching life ... and try to post your comments somwhere else please. maybe you should try your luck in writing clasic dramas.
and by the way ... i think you need 2 seabobs to carry you at fair speed... did you ask about the speed ... ups.

thank you

Mallorca is one of the Baleares Islands where Mikel Duglas lives and many more.

between june and oktober you need only a shorty or nothing. it is the same sea as in the movies ... I ware nothing in summer.

in spring a 5 mm wet suite is enough unless you are sesible.

So, I guess the X Scooter is no longer the fastest scooter?

Are SeaBobs DIR? If your SeaBob'n would you also be DIR Monkey Diving?

Perhaps he's not a Python fan. I thought it was very funny, but Robin might not be a native Engilsh speaker and so might not get the joke.
