In your best personal judgment of all you know about this topic of frequent discussion, do you consider yourself a 'Non' DIR diver or are you a full fledged DIR diver. ;)

PS-- thought it time for a POLL in the Technical Diving sub forum.....most everyone likes polls.

Not sure how fully fledged I am (Fundies, Rec 2, and half of Rec Triox) but I try . . . :)

I'll vote "other" ... because I prefer a longer title "DIveR" ... ;)

... Bob (Grateful Diver)

I go with 'other' because I'm still in the process of transition. BTW, I don't really see DIR as synonymous with "have done GUE-F". :)

Other. Doin' all we can Right for the dives we do. But, by definition that means we aren't DIR.

Some really good replies in the 'other' category.....and thanks to everyone whom so far has cast a vote in this 'light hearted poll'. ;)

Definitely NOT a DIR diver. I love to dive solo and do not see a need for such rigidity in approach or configuration for the dives that I do.

It's just a label of a diving philosophy... although my diving habits are based on the same philosophy, but I chose other.

I took fundies and learned a lot, but I'm not particularly interested in getting further GUE training, and my current configuration, gas choices, and buddies are mostly non-DIR. Ergo, I'm non-DIR too.

Other. I dive for the fun of it.
