I'd be looking for a new LDS if I were you.

yesterday i walked into the shop.
the young lady could not find my gear.
i asked her if i could go in the back of the store.
she took me to their repair area and sitting in the middle of the floor was my gear.
Wow! There are 9 Zeagle dealers in VA, none in DC it seems - go to Zeagle Systems - Scuba Diving Equipment Manufacturer and look. Call around and find one who will get it done.the saga continues..........
2 months ago i took my gear to another lds in the richmond area.
i'd received a pm from a sb member telling me of this lds.
yesterday i walked into the shop.
the young lady could not find my gear.
i asked her if i could go in the back of the store.
she took me to their repair area and sitting in the middle of the floor was my gear.
it had not been touched.
they had it for 2 months.
i'm taking my family to grande cayman 8/2/08 for a week.
i need my gear.
the young lady said she would talk to the owner and try to get my gear serviced in time for my trip.
they got me by the nads.
Seems to me they have cheated you out of at least $200. You won't see any cash from them but I'd be looking for some satisfaction before I waved goodbye. It might be a good place to try on some new wetsuits before you order it online.![]()
4 years ago i walked into this particuliar dive shop for the first time.
after some time the owner sold me a complete upgrade of zeagle gear.
one of the selling points was, with annual service i would pay for labor, $25 per stage, and parts are free.
i have taken my gear to this shop every spring.
every time i've gone back to pick up my gear, i get the same story:
- you don't clean your gear.
-it took a long time to clean up the mess.
-we won't service your gear until you take the equipment specialist class
-they charge an extra $15 per stage
i took the class.
picked up my gear yesterday.
got the same story and was charged extra again.
i've been diving since 1966.
i've kept up with technology and upgrade about every 8 years or so.
to date i've yet to experience any gear failures.
i know how to clean and store my gear.
this lds is 1 1/2 hours away and is the closest one to us.
i've tried to be a loyal customer.
my wife is telling me to find another lds.
last year they charged me $30 to clean my brand new gauges.
i did not buy them from him and did not expect the service.
when i got on board the belize aggressor the gauges showed 1000 lbs too much.
the captain loaned me his gauges.
when confronted with this the lds told me that gauges can go bad any time.
will i be able to find another lds that carries the zeagle line AND will honour the warranty?
regards,
