white pointers/great whites:

The Australian science organisation CSIRO choose a site within 20 km of home as The place to tag them. They caught 7 in one day and put radio beacons on them (and you could follow their movements for months on the web - all the way across to south australia).

The night before my first OW dive the class watched Jaws1, Jaws2 and Jaws3, then we dived about 10 km from another GW haunt. Couldn't get the music out of my head and thats been the most scared I've been underwater.

Either Oxtoxing (which is not likely to happen to me but it scares me anyways) or getting stuck in a cave with low air.
Oh yeah, and clowns too....underwater clowns with rebreathers and pink dry suits (shiver)
 
yea, I was going to mention neon wetsuits but I did not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
