about a month ago hubby had a female student that was given by the dive shop a suit that when she put it on the crouch came to about her knees and she didnt change the suit and showed up on saturday for OW#1 dive.

hubby, who is married to a fatty, knows that nylon stockings in these cases are a god send and actually carrys a few packets in his tool kit took her to aside and explained and gave her a pair of nylons.

as she was coming back from the carpark she yelled out for all to hear "thanks theo, you got it all the way up to my crouch this time!"

If there was a C-Card....

It would cost $200

Not all agencies would offer the specialty

It could be one of the specialty dives in the AOW course

Operators would demand to see the card before letting you dive off of their boat

The standards for the course would vary across the agencies

You would need a separate specialty for each wetsuit thickness

AND

There would be numerous threads on SB discussing the merits of the specialty, decrying the difference in standards across the agencies, and recommending that the most important thing was choosing the right instructor.

I finally think of something funny to say only to find out that someone's beat me to the punch line :)

you should take dir-f first

dress it rite fundamentals

This is even funnier than the recent discussion about splitting up a dive buddy's gear when he or she was killed for damaging live coral, and the poster complained he always ended up with the lead weights.

I saw a great way to get a too tight wet suit to go up one's legs. After getting the feet through, put the second stage into the leg and hit the purge. It stretches the neopreme nicely.

LMAO!! This thread is killin' me... LOL!

When I went to try on my 5mm, I had to REALLY work to get my leg through, and then I couldn't pull it up. I worked FOREVER, and even got sweaty, to get my foot to go through, and I thought, My god, this thing is TIGHT!!, only to find that I had inadvertantly put my leg through one of the arm sleeves.

*running off to hide in abject embarrassment...*
BWAAA HA HA!!! try your othere leg frank!!!!!! ROFL!!!!

This reminds me of a dive trip to Sodwana many moons ago. A good friend of mine that dived occasionally joined us with his fiance. It was a very young relationship, so he was still very nervous around her and was intent on impressing her with his diving "skillz".

We were kitting up on the beach, when I noticed that he had his BC on the cylinder back to front. He then proceeded to put his first stage in upside down, routing the hoses and regs to the wrong sides of his kit. More of our group started noticing, and the grins started breaking out. He spent a good five minutes trying to get the hose routing to work. Eventually he realised his mistakes and swapped everthing around again.

The coup de grace came when he put on his one piece wetsuit. He tugged and pulled and struggled, only to find that it was on back-to-front. We were in hysterics! Needless to say, he was blushing from head to toe. Our launch ended up leaving a bit late because we were pretty useless after that point.

Cheers,

Andrew
