I just came back from that place. Highly recommend Flower Gardens, oil rigs and Stetson. Put it on your bucket's list ! (Sony s6000+ZEN WA).

My trip out to Flower Garden Banks has been cancelled/rescheduled twice now this year - once by weather and once by mechanical issues. I'm scheduled for a third attempt this month. Fingers crossed!

Stetson at night is one of my favorite dives.

Amazing dive out there - just have to deal with the weather. If you got any Manta pictures make sure you send the to NOAA, they used to reply and tell you their names etc, very cool. They use the data to track them.

right now, I took some picts:
it was explained by DMs on the boat, best timing around the last full Moon of Aug? or smth, I may have it wrong though all I remember there was a Moon phase involved.

We went out with them this summer. The oil rig had the densest population of fish I’ve ever seen anywhere. Highly recommend this trip!

We're thinking of doing the oil rigs only trip next year, if they have them on schedule.

Can people share what dive operator they booked with? I'm interested but unclear on the logistics. I believe it's accessed by liveaboard? Please share any feedback about the boat you were on as well.
