What isn’t explainable is how did both you and your wife start with the same problem, then now only you have it (it implies a conscious choice of treating them differently by your LDS when servicing them)

I agree... Then again I fully trust the shop, left both sets yesterday adn will see.
 
The shop called me today (I cannot ho cos I am outside town): he had to change both turret's and piston's o-rings because they were "deformed" and lost shape and flexibility. The turret's was the worst one but he preferred to change also the piston's that was less deformed.

He also told me that the situation was better than last year when the o-rings were like melted and even difficult to take out...

HE could not explain why, and why my wife's was ok (as I said, her o-rings were melted and replaced last year but eventually she did non dove so her regulators was not used at all).

As a reminder, regulators have been kept in the garage, inside a plastic bag inside a diving bag, in the garage I keep only my motorbike and there is a window always open.
