At 10 my son Morgan was quite aware of my failings, UW and willing to point them out.

I was sorry to learn on our return from Belize that my son is selling, or unloading his dive gear, but he has not dived since he was a teenager now, so he has moved on with his life.
I made certain that both my daughter and my son had the chance ( once they asked) to train up to Advanced Open water in Scuba Diving, and to their 1st °Black in TaeKwonDo.
What they do with their training, or where they go from that point has always been their choice.

That's a coincidence, my son is also a second degree black belt in TaeKwonDo. And he also gave it up, after 8 years, he was ready for something else. So far, diving is something we can do together.

My two began with joining me underwater, which I had become hooked on at 17, thanks to Sea Hunt and that French guy.
The TKD came later, when it became my outlet during a bad divorce.
I only made 2nd°, myself, before age related injuries sidelined me.

But the pee has a certain glow in the dark quality, that most of us might envy?

Shearwater, I was just wondering if you had been able to talk with anyone yet about the loss of comms error I keep getting on my Perdix 2? Is there any solution? You upgraded it to the latest firmware version but that didn't help.
My work around of cycling through the screens to reset the alarm works but it is a real pain to do on every dive that I buddy up with my son. It's to the point where it is habit and just part of my routine, like clearing my ears. But boy does it suck.
As a reminder. My son has the original Perdix I bought in 2020 with a transmitter. I have the Perdix 2 with the new transmitter that I bought in 2023.
If I am diving without my son I don't lose comms or receive any other warning, but when the two of us dive together I almost always receive the Yellow warning with either "AI LOST COMMS"; "T1 CRITICAL PRES" OR "T2 CRITICAL PRES" in the first few minutes of the dive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nah, that's just somebody slipping a high dose of Riboflavin to you (found that out when a podiatrist prescribed it for a foot issue). It puts a Neon Yellow light or vest to shame.
Freaked me out.

My poor Toy took a beating today. I knew I needed to replace the bumper, but I was pretty sure is was just cosmetic, BUT when we went to load the Kubota on the flatbed today, to mow my daughter's place, the bumper brackets failed, quite spectacularly...

I am just glad it happened in the barnyard, rather than at highway speed.
