100% agree.

I suspect that it's a case of, they can't go shorter, because then it wouldn't be even close to long enough to donate - which would be a problem for anyone using one of the Atomic Safe Second octo/inflators.

And making it truly long enough for good use when donating would make it WAY too long for use as a normal primary. Their swivel doesn't swivel enough to make it usable with the hose routed under your arm.

So, the stock length is the worst of both worlds.

On mine, I used that repair kit thing that has been posted about before and cut the stock hose down to a better length, so that I was able to keep/use the fancy titanium swivel.

I just get of it and stick to my death defying Omni. It would be nice, in the future, if they just offer a no hose option.

what a waste -- is there a possiblity to order it with a different hose (or without one)?

It’s hard enough to find a “just second stage” as it is now, I have never cared for their swivel and always removed it anyway.
