Hi-I recently got a TG-7 and a Sea Frogs case for it. It froze up in the middle of each dive. battery was full going into the dives. I saw to change the battery and haven't used since but wanted to see if there is any other trick and might it be the case?

Can you be more explicit on "froze up"? Was it off, and would not turn on? Was it on, and no buttons were responsive? Were you shooting stills or video? (Video really eats up he battery.) Are you using Olympus AOEM batteries, or clones?
More info, please.

The camera was on and had just taken a still picture and then would be frozen with last picture stuck on. Only way to get camera to reset was taking battery out once back on land. I am using Olympus batteries-OM System Model LI-92B

Sounds like a possible SD card problem. Have you used the same card before successfully?

Yes on another camera....

Did you possibly use the card (in the other camera) and then just move the card to the TG7 without reformatting? It's a good practice to reformat the card before using it in a camera....so prevent such lock-ups.

PS
If this is indeed the problem, then it likely will keep happening with that card even out of the water. Here's a test: see if it keeps happening. If so, try and different (freshly formatted) card. If that works, then take the "bad" card and reformat it and try it again.
The goal is to see if the card is the problem,. or the camera.

I always format the card first in a card reader attached to my laptop, then in camera. Do a low level format on the computer first.
