OK. I'm not convinced that sort of hose is really the right hose for the job. It's not going to collapse or kink easily - but its not a great option for fitting hose barbs etc into either.

Besides Light Monkey who else makes Pee valves? I might take a look at what hoses other Pee valve manufacturers are supplying with their kits.
It does not collapse at all. The only trouble is the design of the hose. It's a spiral fused hose that is strong against crush/collapse, but can delaminate or split where it's fused together. Mine did this and I couldn't find the leak into it fully ruptured.

I have halcyon and I think sitech, happy with both.

I have the LM balanced tinkle valve and it works great. Any reason you don't want theirs? They sell replacement hose. You could try using their (norprene, I think) hose on the Sitech valve.

I'm down in Australia - and I don't like my chances of the Australian Sitech distributor having the norprene hose - so it would be three months - and probably $300 given their ridiculous pricing - so easier if I figure out something myself.

Edit - sorry I didn't read your message properly. I've got a Sitech Trigon P-Valve being fitted on a new drysuit, again unfortunately being down in Australia nobody local is going to carry the spare Light Monkey hose.

Haha, as a fellow Aussie (expat in the US), I'll send you one. I have a spare in my toolbox. DM me your address.

I just dropped it in the box. USPS should collect it today. Delivery date known only by the fickle gods at Australia Post.

Would one of you mind measuring the external diameter of the (brass?) hose barb that is on the P-valve itself? Seems like the way to go is to firstly replace the wire-reinforced hose that Sitech provides as it both cracks (leaks) and also the ends look pretty dodgy to me when the hose barbs of the quick disconnect are inserted into it - expands the hose too much. Because it is so hard to get stuff in Australia I will get a roll of norprene tubing and also a heap of quick disconnects - seeing as Sitech are selling them with horrible hose and an on/off valve instead of a quick disconnect.
