The shop has a standard $125 charge for a full reg set service, plus parts, so the difference would be about $7 for me. This is really helpful information - thanks!
All other things being equal [second stages, SPGs, LP hoses] yes, the difference in parts kit pricing is less than $10 for the first stages.
 
As I said before, you can't go wrong with either of the two SP first stages, Enjoy your new regulator and let us know how it is working out for you on your dives.

PS I use a MK 25 / G250V for my warm water travel regulator, I also take along a Mk 2 as a bulletproof back up for most trips.

For me it' a, Mk 17 EVO/ 2 G260 for warm water resorts, and a Mk 2 as my back up first, it's what I have in Vanuatu as I type .
