How lucky can you get!! A chomp from a GW with humongous sized jaws and razor teeth, minor injuries, safely getting back to the boat unassisted, because of typical exploratory GW behaviour, (or maybe it was a territorial threat warning)… and having a great story to tell your buddies/wife/kids…

Had it been a Tiger Shark, it would have come back to finish him off and make a meal out of the diver …

I will be doing lots of Tiger Shark dives in Maldives again next month. They seem pretty friendly do far. Hope to get more shots like this one I took last November.

Nice! I think you should practice saying “Pss!Pss!Pss!!” with a regulator in your mouth…

as in “Pss!Pss!Pss! Kitty!Kitty!Kitty… come ‘ere… Pss!Pss!Pss!…” :rofl3:

Just bring a plastic bottle and make it crackle. It's always amazing to dive with a silent apex predator so you can realize how insignificant you are. Being hunted is not such a bad thing really. If they really want to end you they can do so at will. You don't always understand what we're dealing with.

The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its ability and hostility.
I admire its purity of purpose. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality

Are you referring to the Tiger Sharks in Fuvahmulah? They are fed with Tuna heads & all female Tigers. So, no threat to divers.

Fuv and other islands in May. Thanks for your video.

Sure Tiger sharks have attacked a few people and eaten a few less. 142 total attacks and 39 fatalities. It's a big ocean with fewer and fewer sharks and more and more people. I'm not overly fearful of a shark attack. The two guys that died at Verde Island were killed a bit over a week after my wife and I dived that same spot...as is generally the case it was the ocean that killed them, not the wildlife.
