Hi from Germany ✌️ I have been following Scubaboard for a long time, but have now registered separately to answer here. I have the DL40, a nice bright lamp. However, the cone of light is too large. I dive here in Germany in the lakes and the visibility is usually not so good and the wide cone of light with the wide corona dazzles too much (backscatter). My buddy owns the DL70 and it is even worse that he can only use the lamp at the lowest level. A small spot without corona with ~ 7 ° beam angle would be great. I would also agree to compare my current lamp with one of your test models and show the whole thing underwater with pictures. Equipment for this is available, also a lux meter to measure the actual brightness.
If you are interested in seeing your lamps in poor visibility, please contact me.

Regards
Benny
Totally agree with you Benny...
A wide spot is wonderful in clear tropical water to illuminate overangs or for video, but it is a nightmare in poor visibility conditions.
When you hardly can see your hands the best is a super narrow beam. 😅

The best would be to have the opportunity to modify the beam angle from wide to narrow whilst diving, @Wurkkos Diving Light, did you ever consider it?

Ciao,
Rick

Hi Benny,
That's I wanna do. And through talk with many people. The 'wide corona dazzles too much' is the first challenge we must overcome right now. Check you PM

Or both wide angle light and narrow angle light include. We are still try it yet

Its very easy to switch, so accidental change possible and little feedback with gloves. Also it is only a small ring, so again hard to fiddle around with gloves, and not possible to "feel" or see quickly the actual setting.
Amazing! I got it. Let me feedback to Wurkkos factory immediately.

Thanks for your great support my man. If rank the using experience of dive light switches, which switches would be better?
The latest models we bought were DL16, and have the switch on the tail of the light. This has a protective ring as discussed elsewhere in the thread.

as i wrote yesterday, i don't trust the switch on the DL02, which is an excellent lamp for my lake diving and scuba diving practice.
the switch turns on too easily when the lamp is stored with diving gear or clothes.
Look at the state of my boxer shorts, i almost burned down a house. i think the installation of a safety or lock would be useful.

I always open the battery lid a couple of turns before I store them for driving from and to the dive site. Also make sure it does not turn on (press against the lid for a thorough test!). For longer drives or storage I remove the battery.

I’m a sucker for a good discount, I’ve ordered one and with the make down and an additional discount code on the site and free shipping it was just under $55, this is also a test of the day to day totally unknown tariff stuff, small risk to see if the 140% thing is real.

Got it! You are the good man. Could you show me more details? The uv light only would be prefer? Or both the main light and uv light? I will feedback it to Wurkkos factory.
I would like it to be a 2nd emitter in the lens. Going off other feedback light beam focus seems to favor either spot or flood. The way I use my dl02, I'm normally on setting 2 and only switch to 3 if I want to see references to where I am or looking for something specific. It's up to the manufacture which way to focus would be easy to implement. A. use a sliding/rotating focus (user adjustable focus but I personally dislike), or B. use different height/different shaped reflector based off which emitter is on. Like a automotive headlight. Switch postion 1 is spot, position 2 is flood, position 3 is both, and uv/laser is a separate button
