Just finished the final exam for my Nitrox certification for PADI. It says I need to do a practical exam now at my local dive shop. Does anyone know what this entails?

You have to analyze and label a tank properly. The shop may also ask a few questions to be sure you've mastered the content.

Mine entailed demonstrating that I knew how to analyze a tank, put a sticker/tape on the tank, and complete the dive shop's log

and complete the dive shop's log
Yeah, I forgot the log part. :D They often take this opportunity to sell you an O2 analyzer. Buy it if you can afford it.

I also cover basics of when you need O2 clean tanks (premix/membrane vs PP fills etc.), how to maintain O2 clean status and how to set up the computer (if the student owns one).

know you MOD for specific %.

But wait, there's more!

In addition to how to analyze and set the dive computer, you go "through the processes of obtaining enriched air from a blending facility, and to get a direct overview of how operations blend enriched air nitrox." (quote from the Instructor Manual) this include logging and marking the tank.

And then there are two Pre-Dive Simulations. #1 is:
Performance Objectives
By the end of Enriched Air Dive 1 or Predive Simulation Exercise 1, student divers should be
able to:
1. Execute a dive within the no stop limits, maximum depth and oxygen exposure limits
established by the instructor during predive planning.
or
2. Plan a dive within the no stop limits, maximum depth and oxygen exposure limits
established by the instructor.
And #2 is:
Performance Objectives
By the end of this dive, with little or no help, students should be able to
1. Execute a dive within the no stop limits, maximum depth and oxygen exposure limits
established by the instructor during predive planning.

2. Plan a dive within the no stop limits, maximum depth and oxygen exposure limits

I love you man! :D That was great!

In addition to the items mentioned above (analyze, label, log, set computer), my LDS gave me ten question written quiz as part of the hands-on session.

Likewise, when my gal did her hands-on session six weeks ago during a trip to Little Cayman, she was given a written quiz. (No idea if her quiz was the same as mine.)

The quiz I took was straightforward. Assuming you are given a quiz, if you handled the e-learning test questions without issue, I imagine you'll readily handle a quiz. My gal had the same impression of her quiz.

A suggestion for being prepared for a potential quiz...if there is a notable span of time between completion of your e-learning and your hands-on session, consider refreshing your memory by retaking the e-learning final exam a day or two before doing the hands-on session.
