All boat diving relies on surface support to some extent. That can be anything from a taxi to an on board decompression chamber.
 
This is my video/incident but I've only recently been made aware that there was a discussion about it on here. Of course I don't agree with all the comments but is always interesting getting other people's perspectives so thanks to everyone who has contributed!

For what it's worth, I'm still pretty happy with most of the underwater decisions I made that day. Not surprisingly, if something similar happened again then I'd ensure my buddy properly diagnosed the problem and I'll call it earlier.

For those who don't routinely use a lazy shot system then I've put together a video explanation that I hope is interesting/useful!

Thanks and that's exactly what I'm trying to achieve. The idea is that even if people disagree with what I'm doing at least they understand my logic!
