Odd question...Has anyone (using your existing weight pouch) had weight pouches custom made to work with your specific WI BCD? I have an older TUSA Imprex PRO BCJ-4900 BC that I have been diving for over 20 years. I love my BC...but parts and replacement items are becoming difficult to source.

I am looking to either make or manufacture two additional weight holding containers to fit into the the BC.

Welcome to SB. I would contact TUSA and ask them which weight pockets are compatible. Then search Fleabay for the pockets or a donor BCD. scuba.com may also be a source.

I actually pulled the trigger on a new BC tonight. Zeagle Covert XT. Not a BP/W setup, but back inflate and ruggedly minimal.
Good choice. I was actually going to suggest this brand. A buddy of mine dives with a Covert. I use a Stiletto, and my daughters have a Lazer and Zena.

I'm not a fan of proprietary weight pouches for the integrated weight. Makes it a bit of a pain to make weight adjustments based on tanks or exposure gear. The Zeagles in my family have the Ripcord system, and IIRC, the Covert uses a pocket that pulls open. No proprietary system to get lost.

I'm going to try and do that if I can't find a replacement weight pouch.

So far so good. I love the flexibility the BC provides through the MOLLE system and and the fact you can make it minimal or "tricked out" as much or as little as you want. I also like the way the weight pockets are built onto the BC with the ditchable pouches. Only thing that scares me is that it is a 100% velcro driven system...I wish it had a hard "lock" or redundant retention system as an added safety feature.

Yeah, I hear you, but I wouldn’t worry too much. While my Stiletto uses the Ripcord for the main weights, the trim weight pockets have Velcro at the top and bottom. Never been an issue. Just inspect it periodically. If the loop portion gets too fuzzy, you can trim it, or, if needed, sew in a new one. But, I doubt it will be an issue. Especially since the Velcro will only rarely be used. Zipper on top of the pocket is for inserting and removing weights, right?

That's correct!

Correct on the zipper. Dove it down in the Florida Springs this past weekend for the first time and it is a super comfortable BC. Had a little issue with the tank strap (I replaced the lower velcro band with a cam strap, but had the webbing misguided...easy fix) but other than that it performed flawlessly!
