With modern batteries and carbon heating technology why isn’t there a badass heated wetsuit?? I would feel like it would be super nice to have like a 5 mm with a heater that would smoke you out and keep you super warm down to like 50. You know around thighs and back chest and pits. Minimum weight to sink a 5mm. Not much buoyancy swing. And if you lost the heat still be fairly warm and no need for a pee valve. Yes I have a drysuit and enjoy it but I am rough and tumble and would prefer a suit I didn’t need to worry about damaging or jaming into urchin and ruining it. Anyone could point me in the direction to build my own? I have looked up some build your own and some threads in the past about them but not much lately with the newer tec?? Any thoughts??

Great question. Assuming you are not planning to dive in a dry suit. Have you looked at a heated vest?
Venture Heated Vest

I have a venture heated vest and it is nice in my drysuit, I have used it with my wetsuit in hopes it would be awesome. It did help a bit but not nearly enough warmth. It only produces something like 40 watts of power maybe even less. The santi is the most power at 110 but not sure if it is water proof and there is a another vest on fathoms site that is 90 watt and Charlie said it a review that he had a suit flood and it was like a hot tub with that vest but I believe it isn’t “designed”. For wet use.

I wonder if it could stand up to the water? The heated options are all for dry suits that I have seen. Maybe something is out there.

I have already developed EXACTLY what your asking for, over 5 years ago. A wetsuit heater with massive power, enough to handle ANY water temp even ice water. I spent over $50,000 dollars to develop it from scratch. Now I am looking for investors to partner with to have it built in a factory and sell them worldwide. I have been procrastinating doing this because I'm busy doing other things like scuba diving a lot. I won't teach anyone how to make it until I find a serious investor to help produce them. If I don't find anyone then I will just use it myself and take the technology with me to my grave. Making something like this wasn't easy and also took 5 years. My incentive to make it was because of health reasons, my ear kept locking up causing me extreme pain, and I didn't want to give up scuba diving. Now my body stays warm, and my ear doesn't lock just like in a hot shower. I don't know how to find trustworthy investors, but maybe one day I will figure it out, until that day comes, I seriously doubt, that anyone else will figure out how to build an effective wetsuit heater, many have tried, and all have failed and I'm 100 percent sure that it will stay that way for years to come, if not forever.

Well what are you selling demo suits for?? Or you could do a crowd funding I would buy one if the specs are good.

I also have one it is decent but it doesn’t let you down size a wetsuit ie 7mm to 5mm it just keeps me a touch warmer, it is nice and does help a bit, But just not enough juice in my opinion. I do like it in my drysuit.

The specs are off the charts, it could easily kill the diver, by overheating the person to death, its way overpowered and is designed to be able to dive Antarctic waters if necessary. I would be willing to give a test drive to serious investors, but no demo suits for sale. I don't know how to do crowd funding, but if I can figure it out, or get help that would be great.

I think I would need a lot of money to start a factory.

a venture in a wetsuit is barely noticeable, what he wants is jacuzzi heat in a wetsuit. More heat than he could handle in a wet environment. No one will be able to do that except me period.
