I recently upgraded from a GoPro 7 to the 12. With the GoPro 7, the removable lens had to be removed for use with the dive housing. The Gopro 12 fits in the dive housing without removing the removable lens. Removing the removable lens when used in the dive housing would mean one less layer of glass. Anyone try this or have any thoughts?

Idk but perhaps the case has been designed to take into account the camera lens and removing it will thrpw off the refraction? You'll also lose some built-in waterproof protection. I had my GP11 case leak a bit - not enough to completely flood under pressure but there was a bit of water in there - and the camera was fine.
